Retro Fit Your Bass or Tenor

Tension System

If you are still playing a tenor or bass drum with the old style bracket tensioning system, I have good news for you.  Now, you can turn your old bass or tenor drum into a modern, free-floating shell at a very affordable price.

bulletIt’s fast and easy to do.
bulletRemove the old brackets from the shell.
bulletCover the holes with colored dots. (You can buy these at any office supply store.)
bulletPut the hoops on, line up the tension rods with the dots and tighten down the head and your done.
bulletIt’s as simple as that!

Also, now that all that extra weight from the metal brackets is gone, the drum is lighter as well. You also have the advantage of only having to tighten down one head. Presto, one modern looking drum.

The cost for one tensioning system is $20.00 and there is an average of six to eight tensioning points on the average tenor and nine on a bass drum (+ -). The tensioning tubes come in black.  The tension rods and claws also come in brass coated and silver coated, again, please contact for availability and cost.

The cost of a 15,16,18, or 28 inch hoop finished is $70.00 for two hoops .

If you wish the hoops to be any other color besides black or natural you must supply the stain or paint, or the exact information pertaining to that color (brand, color batch, color code etc.)
